Again, not defending previous administrations. But I’m someone who tries to stay focused on the here and now of issues. Dwelling on the past currently is not going to solve the problem

W way to think about it. I’m a conservative but 100% disagree with a lot of stuff that the current administration is doing and what has been found out about them. To play devils advocate here though, if it was the other administration that had won office and this had all come out, would you be saying the same thing?

Absolutely. Lets say Harris got elected and only released 100,000 pages of nothing but black bars, I’d be screaming abt how the Harris administration is full of pedos or pedo enablers And yeah it is a good way of thinking about a lot of stuff. I’m not going to say it’s applicable to every issue, but for the most part I find going “well let’s talk abt 4 years ago” to be a waste of time usually

Like in the end my values matter more than party. I’m progressive, and if tomorrow we woke up in a world where republicans were left wing and dems were right wing (kinda like how the parties were at the beginning of the 20th century) I’d absolutely be a republican

yes, absolutely. Like, we as leftists and liberals are basically famous for purity testing and infighting, there’s no way in hell we could maintain cohesion and function as a political entity after something of this scale. And i’m just saying, it seems like a lot more dems have turned against, say, the Clintons, than conservatives against Trump.
