waiting 5 months to see an endocrinologist for my thyroid and PCOS 🥰
People talk about how outrageous the wait times are in countries with socialized medicine, meanwhile here in the great ole USA with private insurance I’m waiting 7 months to see a neurologist for my epilepsy 😻

I skipped the line and got a PCOS “diagnosis” and medication through my dermatologist. But that was 3 years ago and to this day I’m still not officially diagnosed by anyone who’s able to do so because it would be too much of a pain

praying i even get to see an endocrinologist bc my blood work is never conclusive!!! i think i have subclinical hypothyroidism and it’s getting worse 😍 last year my blood work indicated something was wrong but further testing two months later was normal and i have not had blood work since

my gyno gave me a referral for an endocrinologist because of my dual thyroid and PCOS symptoms because they would be better to treat it (and can also recommend further/invasive measures that a gyno cannot). i get meds for both, but my androgen levels are still high. was referred in February, earliest available appt is in July 😭
