Poor uneducated people tend to vote Republican. And Republican policy actively makes those states worse. It’s a self reinforcing cycle

it’s actually worse than that. And I believe 1996. Hillary Clinton made the decision on behalf of the Democratic Party that they were no longer campaign in Red states.
