How is groceries higher than all the sub categories. What are the categories that have gone up more than the average grocery? I’m kindof wondering if something so strange about this graph.

looking at my kroger purchases back in 2023 I was able to buy 35 items (including $25 in discounts) for $100 which comes out to $4 per item if you exclude discounts a couple days ago I spent $90 on 18 items (including $48 in discounts) which comes out to $7.6 per item if you exclude discounts (i promise it was the cheapest shit like it included HOT DOGS BRO and single ply toilet paper like ????)

maybe my kroger just decided to exploit college kids idk but with $48 in discounts and I still paid the same amount 😭 like 2023 I got frozen pizzas and produce and soda and yogurt and crap for $100 and this time I got SHIT for $90 like I guess the toilet paper did it for me even tho that was $10 with a discount 😭😭

I guess Heb might be doing a little better when it comes to prices compared to other stores in other states

ya maybe like kroger has gotta be one of the biggest grocery store chains and I have never heard of Heb, so would make sense a massive corp raised prices more
