I’m all for the second amendment. But there’s a difference between owning a pistol versus an assault rifle

Assault rifles have a selector switch that allows you to switch between firing semiautomatic and fully automatic. Fully automatic firearms are already illegal in america. The rifles you can purchase in america are semiautomatic just like pretty much any pistol. I personally believe there is no reason why civilians shouldn’t be allowed to own fully automatic weapons but right now they cannot. So that is why i say you probably don’t understand what an assault rifle is or US gun laws.
