No literally, like, I’m an avowed feminist so it always feels wrong to comment on a woman’s looks in a political discussion, but pre-plastic surgery Kristi Noem was undeniably aging extraordinarily gracefully for a 50-year old white person. The work she’s had done makes ZERO sense to me because she was honestly very pretty for her age before she got it, like sure she didn’t look 25 anymore, but she shouldn’t feel bad about that. She’s not 25. And all the surgery kinda tells me she DID feel bad.

And I say “50 year-old white person” because let’s be real. Us white folks do not tend to age the best. There’s a reason everyone and their mom jokes about the slow aging of Asian people, and there’s a reason why “Black don’t crack” is a common phrase. I can only hope to look as good as Kristi Noem did at 50 (fifty!), and the plastic surgery just kinda makes her look like an alien.
