Ask any1 who’s lost a significant amount of of weight and they’ll tell you it’s a night and day difference in how they’re treated. Nobody’s saying you have to date/befriend fat people but it would be cool if y’all just let them live instead of being mean
fatphobia is just an extension of misogyny and racism and the you can tell by who all the primary perpetrators of fatphobia are (yt men)

And for the record YES there is a direct line of what is considered “ugly” now to old European colonial body standards

As someone who lost a medically significant amount of weight, I just wish people would stop treating extra weight as a moral failure. You cannot self-control your way out of an eating disorder, and genetics does play a major role in your likelihood to carry extra weight

As someone who went from really skinny to a more normal weight for my height, I’ll always take body shaming very seriously bc it is genuinely the worst feeling ever to not like your body. And people think shaming is helping somehow, like shut up you just want to excuse your bullying

Lowk nah. As someone who lost a good amount of weight (talking 105 pounds over 2 years), I'd say most of the hate was internal. Lots of people like to feel sorry for themselves, but I'm a big advocate for just putting in the work.

Motivation to get healthier is good, I just wish it came from a place of acceptance instead of disgust
