They’ve started killing them via medically assisted suicide. That being said, the issues with universal healthcare are caused by systemic underinvestment

Yeah, universal healthcare is a good thing but it will always be undermined from within under capitalism. The ruling class would rather pocket that money, charge people for healthcare, and keep people precarious enough to accept worse working conditions
