Let’s do some quick math. There are roughly 20,000 ICE employees. If each gets paid 100k/year thats a total payroll of $2 billion annually. Divided equally among all 344 million Americans, that would be ~$5.82 cents per person annually. I’m not sure what you consider basic needs to be, but I’m think it’s likely they would cost far more.
