Without government intervention, they are losing money. Like, a lot of it. GOOGLE is losing more money they’re making for the first time since they were founded due to investing so much in Gemini.

They are still losing money. They just need any reason to justify to investors why it’s not working out. The “Bubble” is gonna turn out to be that we put way too much hope in dreams and turned out wrong. They aren’t “scared” of what it can do. They realized it can’t. And now they need any reason they can find to help slow the bleeding. “We had to drop AI spending by 90% or it was gonna kill everyone” def not cuz it’s going nowhere beyond LLM assistants
