Because the system is broken. You cut doctors salary, and the system will be even more broken, I can promise you that.

Stop giving the power to bean counter administrators who’s only interest is making money, and give it back to people who actually know a thing or two about medicine (doctors)

Most healthcare CEOs and other top executives, unlike back in the day, have never gotten a medical school education. I’m in med school rn and we’re literally taught workarounds for insurance: bc they won’t cover x we have to use y, a is the gold standard but b works not as well, this is the preferred treatment but it’s really expensive so most people won’t get it bc insurance won’t cover it, etc

1
