why do conservative men think that women would be happier if they got married young and had kids as opposed to being career oriented? especially bc like i don't think the women who had to do that in the first place were all that happy?

It’s not about the woman being happy, it’s about the husband controlling her and her life. No education/career means no options independent of the man’s income.

You can work if you want, but i think the idea of just staying at home, taking care of the family, and just chilling while being taken care of is an idea most people would be cool with. Nobody wants to work. Obviously taking care of kids isn’t easy, but it gets easier after a few years. Nobody is saying you can’t work. Obviously you do what you want with your life. Get an education if you want. You suggesting that people are just out to get you and control you is how a child would think.

Women should be allowed to do whatever they. Both liberals and conservatives want to push certain lifestyle on women which is dumb. A lot of it may come from the fact that relationships are conditional on certain things and some people only pick partners that live certain lifestyles

So lots of people do actually enjoy their jobs, and school. I'm a musical theatre major, and i'm planning on traveling a bunch because what i love to do is sing and dance on stage for an audience. So to me being at home just taking care of children would be miserable. I never said anything abt control, i just want to know why conservative men don't think women can find the same happiness outside of the traditional wife and mother model? like what supports that? they can't speak for women and i
