military parade also weakens dc infrastructure btw. tanks can’t go over asphalt streets without severely harming them. so if you love cutting debt, need i remind you this costs money not just to hold the parade, but to repair afterwards

While I agree that it’s a massive waste of money and military resources, they won’t be damaging the roads. I read that they put down these metal things over the road that make it so that the tanks can drive through the parade route. Supposedly.

Fixing roads, covering roads, or installing road treads all use up taxpayer dollars. There’s no way to cut this where it’s beneficial to the taxpayer
