then what’s the point of posing the initial question. all media is pushing an agenda to sway the way people think. there’s biases in everything consumable, and whether conscious or not, are meant to make you think a certain way

Because I want republicans here to be aware of that bias, generally speaking the right is the side more likely to claim media bias

most are and agree with the bias. it’s insincere to say anyone isn’t the same way. you choose the outlets you consume information from bc you agree with and they affirm your views on what you already believe to be true. republicans aren’t just sitting there thinking they have a golden goose of objective info. they consume fox news bc they say things they agree with that seem so obvious to them. “at least they understand”

Generally speaking yeah, but I do my due diligence to ensure what I say is truth I’m one of the weirdos who gets super upset when I’m wrong, not bc I was proven wrong, but bc I allowed myself to be wrong

i consider myself pretty well read and even people like me say shit like “i read stuff from the opposing side all the time” and we do, but it inherently shows that we drift towards certain avenues of media bc they reinforce what we believe. whether it’s left right or vertical

Fox News is as biased as msnbc, quite frankly I can’t respect anyone who agrees with a majority of the takes from either *entertainment* channel
