I mean he can say whatever he wants. Israel has been breaking international law for years Hen is a hypocrite as with most Israeli Jews in Israel who complain about war crimes. Polling in Israel shows most Israeli Jews while not supporting Bibi do support a lot of the inhumane treatment of Palestinians in Gaza done by their country. Although I agree Israeli was too broad since no one is a monolith.

He’s anit BDS, he has issues with people saying Free Palestine especially celebrities using their platforms, he’s against people saying from the river to the sea. He denied that Israel was purposely starving the people in Gaza, he denies that Israel has been committing a genocide, he denies the apartheid, he’s against the ICC & ICJ etc. Like I said there’s a reason only Zionist see him as a peace activist

for the first few, he has specific criticisms of BDS, the free palestine movement, and the phrase “from the river to the sea” that he has reasonable and rational arguments for. he never says that advocating for Palestine is wrong, in fact he says the opposite, that it’s important and the right thing to do. he doesn’t openly criticize the israeli government on its actions in gaza because that’s not his expertise, but he also doesn’t condone them. he explicitly and constantly condones settler…

there’s actually valid reasons to be against BDS— studied have shown in practice it actually backfires in Israel. from the river to the sea is a phrase with many meanings, some of them extremely violent, and so it makes sense to say maybe just don’t use it. and i can’t find any denials of war crimes or really any mention of the ICJ or ICC in what i’m reading from him

i think israeli leaders deserved those arrest warrants but i also understand the anger about how they were released along with arrest warrants for hamas leaders. that was a deliberate choice and if i was a family member of a hostage i’d sue too

it is legitimately contested. even within the ICJ they haven’t made a ruling and Judge Sebuntinde has made a lot of dissenting opinions arguing that it isn’t a genocide. imo no matter what it was, it was horrific

no i think the arrest warrants for hamas leaders should have gone out on october 8 2023 and i’m sure the families do too. they released them at the same time to avoid putting too much of a spotlight on hamas

It’s only contested by people who support Israel. Everyone else has already acknowledged that Israel committed a genocide. But yes there hasn’t been a ruling since the court moves slow & it’s expected to be years before an official ruling within the court

I mean the UN, all the major humanitarian & human rights organizations including the Israeli one B’Tselem, The International Association of Genocide Scholars, Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention, Genocide Watch etc all say that Israel is committing a genocide so while yes Zionist which there are many claim there is no genocide to act like both sides are equal as far as expertise goes is ridiculous

My beliefs are: - Israel has committed horrific crimes against humanity, particularly in Gaza, which may amount to genocide but that’s for the ICJ to decide - Israeli people are human beings with diverse political opinions and their lives, like all human lives, have value - Cluster bombing civilians is wrong

Idk how denying the genocide, apartheid, starvation, war crimes, being anti BDS, hating on people using their platforms to bring attention to Gaza, hating on Israeli leadership being issued arrest warrants, being against the ICC & ICJ counts as promoting peace.
