US health insurance is such a scam Literally paying for health insurance that only is valid once you meet a deductible and then still only cover a portion of select “covered” services

I saw a video of a Californian man upset he pays more than uninsured people because the state has assistance for uninsured people. Everyone in the comments was more mad at the state for helping poor people than the insurance company for refusing to do their job.

That’s what’s so insane. Is we always get to the discussion of the government shouldn’t pay, etc. but why not the insurance companies do their jobs? Why not be mad at them? I’m paying thousands of dollars to just be eligible for them to cover my medical needs. If preventive and basic care was covered from the get go (with the reg amount you pay), people would be less likely to delay care and become sicker.
