This is delusion. US sanctions are a factor, but Cuba’s crises run much deeper. From inefficiencies due to centralized planning… to bureaucratic state run enterprises… to the huge role the military has in the economy. Leftists pretend to be intellectuals and nuanced, but for select topics, once they’ve made up their mind, they can’t see reason anymore.
