it’s not that we’re denying it, despite what your several posts these last few minutes may claim. it’s just we’re a little preoccupied with the genocide OUR COUNTRY is helping commit since our taxes are funding it pretty simple concept really
There is no fucking way we have grown adults trying to deny the Uyghur genocide. You think you’ve seen it all

I’m talking about something that’s coming out of an entirely separate post, we have a kid denying the Uyghur genocide, and taking it a step further by claiming that “cultural genocide isn’t real” and that you can’t be charged with an actual crime for genocide

see, people say stuff like this, then they deny that Black people and indigenous peoples are owed landed reparations and national sovereignty for the genocides they endured under the american white supremacist project. they pick and choose when to ‘hold nations accountable’ for genocide, which is because they’re american exceptionalists. it’s for the same reasons why the US isn’t held accountable to international law as well

I agree with those things, though. We as a nation are accountable for the genocide and enslavement of the native Americans and African peoples, under the terms you described. See how I do that? See how I’m able to demand accountability and punishment against ALL those committing genocide or similar crimes against a certain population? The same must be said for China, for Russia, for Israel, for the European colonialist powers, and so on and so forth.

and what’s ironic is that we have an immense amount of evidence of the atrocities committed by the american project, yet it has had to grant how many concessions ?

and China has agreed to work with the UN and international organizations to investigate the american allegations of genocide in Xin Jiang, unlike what happens when the US is approached about these issues

people say putin should be held accountable for Ukraine, while living in the nation that let bush go free after he murdered over one million noncombatants in Iraq

Wait a second, are you defending China right now? There is no fucking way. And really happened is that China denied ICC investigators from operating within China, claiming that not being a party to the ICC means it has no authority to investigate the claims of genocide in Xinjiang. And yeah before you say it, the same can be said of the US. But what’s funny is that I’m not defending America’s crimes, but you’re defending China’s. Why is that?

there’s literally double active slaves in africa right now than there was at peak american slavery. no one alive in america experienced slavery on this soil nor owner one on this land. what happened was bad and we stopped and continue to make sure it can never happen again on this soil. if you hate slavery so much you should be more worried about what’s happening right now than what no one you no ever went through 150 years ago

did we stop? the judicial system still targets Black people, the average inmate wage is less than a dollar an hour, and the US has one of the largest (private might i add) prison systems on the planet. slavery never ended lmfao

and hm, maybe if Africa was not still colonized and exploited by the west, perhaps there would be less slavery… i wish i could be an idiot, things must be simpler that way
