Just bc trump is erode economically doesn’t mean Dems are in touch with the working class. Look how much teeth pulling there was to simply congratulate Mamdani.

1. There was not teeth pulling to congratulate him. Yes some purple seat Dems aren’t endorsing him, but party leadership did immediately 2. Mamdani is not the only Dem fighting for the working class. You seem to be under the assumption that if you aren’t ad far left as Mamdani, then you aren’t for the working class. Moderate Dems have been fighting for a higher minimum wage, union rights, free childcare, etc.

“Fighting” for the bare minimum is not the same as fighting for the working class.

Party leadership literally took over a week to congratulate him, some still haven’t endorsed. One NY senator went on an insane islamophobic rant.
