Let’s get this straight: the bottom 50% of earners only pay 3% of Federal Income Tax revenue. That’s over 100 million people who barely contribute. Do these 100 million people only use 3% of social services? No—they use the vast majority of them. Do these 100 million people drive less or use infrastructure less than anybody else? Again, no. I reject the premise that bc they make less that excuses them for paying little to nothing

The role of government is to provide for its people. They need many of those social services precisely because they don’t have any money.
