tbh i think the democratic party truly fell off when they started to decentralize class in favor of more identity focused politics. there’s also a failure to support/align with religious groups that are centered in liberation theology which have been major allies in the past. somewhere along the line politics became more about personal/moral ideology than it did the material existence of citizens. not to mention how we’ve all become increasingly alienated from our local communities

That second point is the one that drives me nuts the most. Every time I say we should be the ones waving the flag, and not let those traitors pretend they care about America, people yell at me. Do we not want to accomplish anything messaging-wise???
