Tell me you don’t know the details about his student loan forgiveness without telling me. He complied with the ruling and didn’t use the HEROES act to cancel it with executive action. He used elements of the higher education act instead and cancelled loans for far more specific groups of people. The broad loan cancellation he promised on the campaign trail didn’t end up happening

His original proposal would’ve wiped the debt of all 40M borrowers. At the end of his presidency the total number of people forgiven was 5M, through things like Public Service Loan Forgiveness, which was passed by Congress and signed by Bush

One, a “random” judge filed his action was unlawful which was something he campaigned on and it went up to the Supreme Court. He then abided by their decision. Two, half of things Trump has done wasn’t part of his promises. But that aside, checks and balance exist to ensure the *methods* are lawful.
