what the saints deemed by the church did to be deemed saints by the church has nothing to do with what modern religious zealots do to use god to shape the rational of their actions and beliefs.

You said it was a rule. In science the passage of time is used to determine case effect relationships. It’s true many use Gods name to try to justify great evils, but we know them by their fruits, not their title or claim.

She’s not wrong to be skeptical of anyone who claims God is talking to them. It’s just an absolute fallacy to say it ALWAYS coincides with people’s desires.

Yeah another way to say that is inaccurate language. And considering many people sacrificed themselves for the good of others in God’s name, that inaccuracy is egregious.
