So the “big secret” trump so graciously told everyone about is actually a review article comprised of 46 PUBLIC papers about the correlations between autism and tylenol(none of the 46 found a direct causative effect) but the review article drew their own conclusions and decided to call it science. I agree over the counter meds can have unstudied side effects, but this is just bullshit science cause he set a deadline for himself over the summer

Obviously people should be cautious when taking any medication and never overuse medication, but there is NO STRONG CAUSATIVE EVIDENCE BETWEEN AUTISM AND TYLENOL. No mechanisms, few inconsistent studies. I work as a biological researcher and we all find it hysterical that people buy this

The spike in autism is pretty much universally agreed to be due to increase awareness and understanding leading to a shift in diagnostic practices, not because there is actually more autism, and it’s happening in other developed countries as well
