People get it wrong the US isn’t some version of Europe, we’re just a richer more developed version of Mexico and Brazil rapidly backsliding into a Latin American style authoritarian regime. Trump has more in common with Maduro than Putin

Americans tend to forget that we culturally have alot more in common with Latin America than Europe. It shouldn’t be a shock but to some people it is. Same continent and very similar founding stories. Even our cities are built somewhat similarly. The only obvious difference is that we speak a Germanic language and have way more money because we are the world’s financial center.

Basically bad bunny is right in that way we are all similar, El Salvador and Brazil looks and operates more similar to the US than most of Europe does

Eh, not really, the West shares things with Mexico, but the South historically has always been pretty Anglo-Celtic (aside from Florida, but that’s more Spanish and not Mexican) the Midwest is pretty German, and the North has a mix of those along with more Italian and such

its ok you had a good point about ethnic heritage but this is more so about political heritage, geography, and systems of government, which is partly influenced by ethnic heritage but loosely.

Ah okay. I’d say political heritage-wise it depends on the state, obviously Western geography will be similar, but systems of government-wise, those were inspired by the Roman Republic, with some inspiration coming from France and such. Although that can also be regional, as the South had a English agrarian aristocracy style of society comprised of Roman style Republics, the Western states just depend on the states, the Midwestern states were Germanic societies,

And ultimately they all generally (with the varying exemption of the West) hail from European political, cultural, and obviously ethnic heritage

more like governments dominated by corruption regardless of spectrum. There are governments further right of us and further left of us in Latin America
