because palestinian liberation should not be contingent on their adherence or lack of adherence to your own moral framework. yes, religious fundamentalism is bad, but critiquing a people under extremely violent and oppressive conditions for turning to the one option they feel like they have is actually so nasty

i think a better way to say it is: i condemn ideologies that deny human dignity and enforce oppression, but i also dont think thats a reason to ethnically cleanse or genocide. some, if not a lot of, palestinians may believe in oppressive structures, but they do not deserve what they are getting in the slightest

It’s not contingent you’re right , and I never made that claim. But you have to be honest with yourself in rationalizing that yes they are an oppressed people, while at the same time understanding that their moral practices do not intersect with our western liberalism.
