I feel like straight men have a higher rate of that sort of violent homophobia but straight women are definitely more casually homophobic as a whole. You have a lot more straight women who call themselves an ally and then are super homophobic

I feel like part of this is that men who have confronted the bigotry of misogyny will also be more comfortable confronting their own homophobia, transphobia, or racism. Whereas straight women think they have no bigotries they need to confront.

Yeah it’s super weird. I’m a straight guy who’s not necessarily the most masculine dude, at least by American standards, and the amount of weird comments I get is insane.
