Heard an interesting political litmus test the other day, personally I’m in the #2 camp. Food stamps should be:Oh I completely agree, but where we might differ slightly is that the assistance/lifeboat afforded by food stamps to take care of necessities should ideally allow people to use what little money they do have to afford nice things like that. Obviously this gets complicated either in extreme edge cases or when considering the general reality of a fucked up economy and unlivable minimum wage, I’d say my question leans more on theoretical politics than immediately actionable stuff.
