Hard drugs perform a psychological response to control the body. Porn isn’t even the same addictive powers as cigarettes or alcohol both very legal. Phones, foods, skipping food, loud noises, staying up late, all things that damage the brain as much as porn. Do you want to make all of those illegal?

“Nothing about porn is bad” is a crazy statement. I don’t agree that it should be illegal but if you genuinely think the state of porn online is in an okay place you’re fucking insane. It should be pretty much impossible for anyone under the age of 18 to find it and access it online, yet any kid with a phone will practically find it without even trying. THAT IS NOT GOOD

But yes i’ll agree with you it is too accessible to kids and does damage on the developing brain. similar damage to the same sex scene in movies, similar to the violence seen in those movies, video games, tv shows. etc. Make it illegal for children to watch all of that? no parents discretion? could be a good idea since development is so important

I watched porn as a kid it wasn’t the end of the world. everyone i know watched it they are all fine. if religious extremists believe in something personally i’m gonna hedge on the side of being against that. Banning porn is not the same as banning porn for people under 18. Make people register their phones with their ID if the child doesn’t have the ID the parent has to register it. The child won’t have access to all the things they have to be over 18 for. Easy law done. I’m fine with that. Movies, TV shows, Video games, all documented to contribute to violence. Ban them all i guess.

I have also said multiple times we should enforce age restrictions, i literally said we should mandate Ids in phones for age verification and if a child has a phone they should get it done by a parent with proof of birth and everything on that phone is restricted to minors. I strongly disagree. Shitty parents that don’t teach their kids about sex cause more damage than porn.
