it's crazy how people think socialism is a radical idea, like how is free healthcare, affordable housing, public transportation and income equality bad? am I missing something?

It’s not crazy it just shows the propaganda and conditioning has worked

he main difference is that socialism isn’t where any of those begin. it’s the next step. i choose to be a social democrat instead because all of these exist, but we can maintain some of the best points of capitalism

Free healthcare sounds nice until you break your arm and you have to wait 10 months for somebody to treat it

Nobody in Canada would tell you their free healthcare treatment is accessible especially with doctor shortages and wait times

Ask anyone in Canada or Europe if they'd prefer the American system

Also - why do people in UK with free healthcare have such messed up teeth ? Explain that

your argument against universal healthcare is that people in the UK have bad teeth..? Why does almost every developed country have universal healthcare if its such a bad system?

Universal healthcare is not socialism

Americans pay highest costs for healthcare and medical debt is one of the main causes of bankruptcy. We have lower life expectancy, higher infant mortality & worse chronic disease. Privatization of healthcare leads to prioritization of profit over care. What is the solution if not universal healthcare?

Someone said it! Socialism is not when the government does things. None of those are socialist policies!

A lot of the reasons for these health outcomes is Americans just being fat and stupid ngl

That statement is not supported by public health data. Systemic failures in healthcare delivery, cost, and access are primary drivers of why Americans die younger than their global peers
