It was the prime minister of the Houthi rebel faction. Salem Saleh bin Braik, the prime minister of Yemen, is still alive.

Still a civilian official with no connection to the Yemeni military. Plus the Ansarallah led government has more legitimacy with Yemenis than the internationally recognized government anyway
