Stalin should NOT be who you take your advice from on the mistreatment of ethnic minorities. He also tried to create a Jewish state, just as a settler colony on the Russian frontier. AND he initially supported Israel when he hoped it would be socialist. The USSR was the first country to provide de jure recognition to Israel.
