 John cena is kind of an underratedly good actor. When it comes to the big three wrestlers turned actors, cena is a lot closer to Batista in quality than he is the rock.

Apparently now the rock is trying to star in more “prestige” projects as well? He’s starring in the next movie being directed by Benny Saddle (Good Time, Uncut Gems) so I guess we’ll see how that turns out

I straight up don’t believe he is capable of good acting. I think he’s kind of a megalomaniac who thinks he’s the hottest shit that’s ever lived. It’ll be like that one time he tried to become the face of the DC movies. It’s just gonna be weird and sad. Hope to be wrong tho!

He’s incredibly egotistical for sure, to the point that it’s straight up ruined movies like Black Adam, as you mentioned, but I’m hoping that maybe he’s able to push past that and make an interesting movie out of this upcoming one cause it’s about getting caught up in the struggles of being famous in combat sports, and having someone very familiar with that industry in the role could be pretty interesting.

I hope so as well. I’d also be a megalomaniac if I was the picture of masculinity, and the worlds highest paid or most popular actor or whatever. Just hope he’s humble enough to allow it to work out.
