and so we need to keep incentivizing the rich to do their economic activity here by giving them literally anything and everything, so its a self sustaining cycle of: we need economic activity - help the rich! - the rich get richer - the rich want to get richer and are leaving, taking their economic activity elsewhere - we need economic activity - help the rich!

the wealth doesnt even need to trickle down anymore. the economy looks good because the 10% keep doing better and better, becoming a larger share of that apparently good economy, so nothing needs to change. pick yourself up by the bootstraps (aka levitate)
