Even if it doesn’t exist, democrats can’t just shut down the government and force republicans to give up anything. They won the election. The point of the election is to see who gets power and who gets to do what. Yes, democrats can still vote and do their duties, and try to deny new laws from going through, but that’s how it is.

I don’t think they can do whatever they want. Obviously votes can still go either way, but since republicans won, they should be able to win more often than not because they have more power. Democrats can’t just shut everything down everytime they don’t get what they want.
