
Yeah anyone could’ve told them it wouldn’t make a meaningful difference if they didn’t touch defense or Medicare/medicaid. Surely hiring 24 year old culture war online twitter warriors didn’t help either. I think cutting $75k postal vans and $55k bushings would be a meaningful difference when considering how many vehicles and bushings the government orders.
Sure, they could be good vehicles. But how about the $55k bushings? $12k ladders for the army? One good purchase doesn’t mean there’s waste in other parts of the government. I’m just saying doge was a waste and should’ve touched defense. Pentagon hasn’t passed an audit in years. Why focus on tiny contracts that aren’t federally funded with tax dollars (which happened)?
