‘Welfare’ is not a slur that you want it to be. Massive corporations from banks to automakers to retailers receive immense government subsidies so that would also count as welfare. And the wealthiest people pay effectively lower tax rates than while 1% of people control 30% of the nations wealth. STOP SHILLING FOR BILLIONAIRES YOU WILL NEVER BE ONE

The regressive taxes such as sales tax and property tax effect lower income earners far more

No one said it was a slur. Subsidies are welfare, tax cuts are not. The wealthiest people pay the highest tax rates by far even after you include sales and property taxes.

Of course they do taxation is by percentage and they have a freakish amount of wealth. If we look by comparing the percentage of wealth paid by each individual and not percentage of tax money earned from the rich, we see that rich people pay roughly 17% less than the poor.
