 Unironically all the conservatives on here prove how great AI is. AI was able to take people who have no artist or rhetorical talent and now they can make cute political cartoons to post on here.

They’re not making the cute political cartoons though, the Ai software is. And the software is doing it off of the backs of working artists that they steal from

I think it’s probably transformative content just like if I took inspiration from someone else’s art but I would be willing to change my mind.

Ok, so I’m a photographer. If someone pulled up a program, had it scan all my works, and then said “create a picture in the style of Peachy’s own aesthetic” would be the individual creating that or the program? In addition to that, would it be transformative?

No it for sure would be mostly the program, I think it probably depends on how different it is from the original work. If it just copies patterns from the original and rearranges them in a new way I would probably consider that transformative. Theres definitely both a moral and legal side to all of this idk what the existing legal test for transformative content is, I assume there is one.

But my general vibe is if a human could do it and it would be considered transformative it’s fine. idk why we would apply a different standard for ai.
