I hold some conservative values and some liberal values. I was having an agreeing conversation with a liberal about a lot of topics. But the moment I mentioned a conservative belief, they turned on me and they ended up calling me an uncle tom, race traitor, and a Nazi. I was shocked. They love you so long as you’re on their side.

I’ve had a lot of conversations like these with liberals and a lot of them do this. Not a single conservative I’ve talked to has done this to me. Conservatives treat me as an equal and don’t try to tell me what to think

oooofff yeah sometimes people on the left can do that. I see where they’re coming from but it definitely rubs people the wrong way and I wish they’d stop saying it directly to people. It’s one thing if they’re talking about a celebrity who’s carrying water for racists, but another thing to call an ordinary person “Uncle Tom” because of their political stance

Of course do, to you face. Just as my father did to my sister when she came out. He changed the locks when she left to go back to college and told her to never come back. Cut off her phone, her insurance, drained her bank account overnight. He no longer talks to any of his kids. If someone criticizes you to your face you can trust them to be honest with you. If someone is always nice to you then you can’t trust them to be honest.

Sure I’d appreciate people telling me they disagree with me. But they hate me because of my beliefs and actually with violence on me and call me apart of the worst group in history. I will not appreciate that. And I as a minority have way more conservative friends because of it.

Here’s some honesty from someone who despises Trump but isn’t exactly liberal. I avoided it earlier because I didn’t want to be a dick. If you think they care about you you’re a fool. Look at the policies they enact, look at their plans. You can say I’m just another liberal(I’m not) but I’ve been called a communist and a nazi today so idgaf at this point. Don't trust someone's words, trust their actions.

Listen, I for one don't doubt that liberals have been grade A cunts to you. They treat me like shit whenever I point our their self righteous bs. They call you things because they're just as foolish and full of pride as the Magats. I’ll tell you what I tell them. Vote for who represents your best interest, not for what they say but for what they do. Words are meaningless these days. It sucks ignorant prideful asswipes are plentiful on the left but they aren't Trump so I’m stuck with em.

Be friends with who you please. Just make sure they're your friends. Just cause I currently vote in a more democrat alignment doesn't mean I like them or am friends with them or you should be either. (Joker can choke on my left nut) People are incredibly complex and breaking them down to just liberal/leftist and conservative/Maga is a rash generalization. Many of us seem to have forgotten that in this country.
