Someone needs to take abandoned commercial spaces and convert it into homeless housing. Put in a few showers and if you want to make it actually nice, add some sheds to make tiny homes to make temporary housing

I’m an civil engineer working in areas of city design and you’ll be happy to know that the industry has known abt this issue for a while and we have a few practical solutions already available but mostly now it’s NIMBY groups and the fear of private companies like Blackrock that could just buy it all up again and also zoning law bs. Also nobody wants to foot the bill p much, both politically and financially. Kinda a big mess but we’re working on it lol
