The most effective thing Democrats can do right now is nominate a leader. I would move up the primary but this could be an entirely new thing. Basically a shadow president.

People are really stupid so I wouldn’t call it a shadow president. (Sounds scary) And if this isn’t a voting situation just have Pete do it. My main theory behind this is seeing in focus groups people being unsure what Dems stand for and what their vision is.
