You realize the right wing church is saying the same thing about the liberal church? Of course the institution on the other end of the aisles are going to tell you the other is wrong

just cause theyre saying the same thing doesn’t mean its true about both sides. All ive seen from Maga christians lately is bigotry towards muslims which is fundamentally anti american. They hate it when people talk bad about christians but then they totally dehumanize members of other religions

Of course Christians hate when people talk badly about Christians, that’s normal for any group of people. The most fundamental part of every religion for all of eternity has been criticizing the other religions, there’s no American value that says all cultures are created equal. The only American value on culture is “American culture” is better than everyone else

Its not normal to not understand why people from other religions might feel the same way. Its not normal for them to not hold themselves to the standards they are trying to hold others to

When it comes to religion and culture, it actually is pretty normal for people to think they’re better than the rest. It’s why America founded itself on assimilation for a superior, unified American Culture

All I’m saying is that it seems pretty hypocritical for them to denounce that kind of hatefulness while simultaneously engaging in and perpetuating the same hatefulness

I’d agree with you on that. It’s definitely hypocritical. White Christian culture in America was kinda the original tho so I do get why they feel the right to get to be hypocritical

Oh i thought you were supporting it. I get what you’re saying. I agree that it is probably fueled by some kind of superiority complex that is a part of American identity & that people don’t necessarily see the hypocrisy because of group think
