As a republican I actually have a lot of respect for Bernie Sanders. I agree with almost nothing he says but he seems like he is doing what he believes to be right and is transparent about his views. Most politicians don’t do either of these things

Also: he is without debate the most consistent person in Congress today It’s been SIXTY YEARS in politics and he is still saying and believing the exact same things. Look up his interview on the today show from 1981 after he was elected mayor in Burlington and if you close your eyes you could mistake it for a speech he gave today Massive respect. The guy hasn’t been bought out or compromised for six decades

That’s exactly how I feel. I disagree with his methods, but I appreciate that it seems like he cares for the country and its people, that’s more than most politicians can say.

That’s really the only thing I agree with him on. There needs to be reform to prevent the ultra rich from exploiting tax loopholes

Recognizing the democrat party is preferable to the Republican Party and supporting them in cases where you agree is different from being a shill. He’s criticized them plenty. After the election when he was saying how the DNC blew it, people like Pelosi and Schumer were fucking furious I do think to an extent he has softened on them, but he’s fucking 83 at this point. Bro is tired
