The difference is that the democrats weren’t doing organized fraud. Rather some individual people defrauded the government and have either already been convicted as of years ago or are under investigation. The republicans literally put congress in early recess twice and shut down the government to prevent a vote to release the epstein files (oh also the president has stolen $500m in taxpayer money in less than a year, an order of magnitude more than the fraud in minnesota)
