I have several friends that had to leave their 'career jobs' to work 2 service industry jobs to get by bc the 'real jobs' weren't cutting it. I'm trying to do both (I'm going to 💀 this is not maintainable)

Strangely enough I had more fun (didn’t make quite as much money, but I made more than most “real jobs” in my part time job) There’s certainly some kind of economic shift happening that the bureaucracy doesn’t appear to be the means of healing whatever this is. If you come up with ideas though, both I and several others would love to hear them.

Well, they do, just not realistically. Businesses are being squeezed due to the rising costs (rent, utilities, health insurance, food, drink, etc). Naturally, they jump to cut corners, smaller staff, pay less, etc. Which leads to significantly more work than ever being dumped on people for the same pay/benefits, or even worse. Meanwhile, THEIR rent/utilities/food/everything is also being very jacked up. Already overworked and exhausted from og job 1 which is no longer enough to support them-

So from there, they need more work. Or they fall into an extremely dark place. Now people are generally overworked, miserable, angry, and exhausted, including managers/bosses/ppl with high responsibilities/etc. Which triggers hindered/rash + greedy/selfish decision making from upper-tiers. Which makes everything worse. And that's only one facet of it all. There are hundreds of interconnecting variables and causes of how bad everything is/getting. Ts requires insane precision and a delicate touch

To pause and then begin to ease. That's not happening nor is it going to happen. So when one takes a step back to consider the near-future where all is left to continue like this. It's extremely stress/panic/misery/despair inducing. Which still worsens everything.

This might sound dark but apparently all the cities with mass deportations, go figure, the rent is dropping. If it’s anything like the Middle Ages and the plague (only, ya know… bunch of people aren’t dying they are just getting deported) there should be a boom in wages for experienced labor of all industries to follow. It always starts with little things, and yeah it seems like an economic siege of sorts, but everything you mentioned I would be willing to bet is tracked by AI. At 1/2

2/2 a certain point. People break. Just stop coming into work. And again, strangely enough, I don’t imagine it can be permitted for America to fail like that. We are the number one food exporter in the world. If enough people snap, and it causes a chain reaction that touches the agricultural/transportation & logistics sector, it triggers a global famine that would collapse the world economy. Believe it or not, it would seem the AI knows the “rich” need us, far more than we need rich people.
