I don’t like Charlie and disagree with everything he said. But supporting killing people for speech is a major part of fascism. Which is very ironic… Controlling speech through violence unifies thought into what the state wants not what individuals want

A Republican state Senator in my state of Pennsylvania is trying to make Kirk’s birthday a state holiday. Kirk was from Arizona. That Catholic Senator sponsored and attended a vigil for Kirk, but he only gave Pope Francis an RIP Instagram post. Most people literally just don’t care about Charlie Kirk and it’s so fucking annoying that they’re trying to make him a martyr and shoving him in our faces.

He wasn’t a martyr, he was just one of many victims of injustice in our justice system which disproportionately affects minorities and has increased in severity even more with ICE. Also, memorials to him are pretty limited to large cities, which Republicans tend to despise and which also have overwhelming Democrat majorities. Asheville, NC is a blue city and Buncombe County (which Asheville is in) voted blue with 61.47% voting for Harris.
