Socialism example: Put simply, I'm sure some people pay hundreds of dollars a week on bus fares. this and people who don't ride the bus are the extremes. So if everyone in the city who has metro service is taxed let's say $10 a year for bus fares, in exchange for them being "free" they're essentially paying the hundreds of dollars of one person and paying themselves a bus pass.

Also you’d have the added benefit of bus drivers never getting mugged because they don’t collect fares and don’t have to tell people to pay them
