The dems wanted to give free healthcare to illegals, citizens don’t have free healthcare why would we give it to them? We technically control all branches, but not by a large enough margin to do whatever we want. When they’ve entire dem party decides to be children and not negotiate to come to an agreement despite numerous attempts by the republicans then yes, it’s the dems fault. Many dem representatives literally came out and said they caused the shutdown on purpose just cuz trumps in office
