Unfortunately the dems just do kinda suck. We have a bunch of old fucks in charge who don’t understand that we don’t want Clintons, we want FDR’s I want to believe in them but I just can’t see them acting much different in 26 or 28

They won’t. This is a golden opportunity for them to take back the nation for at least a decade. Trump is literally doing their work for them and they still can’t stop aiming their attacks anywhere except at the members of their own party who want to change the status quo (rightfully so). There is a culture of accepting seniority over winners in the party and it needs to end or this will keep happening until we are a fascist state.

yeah what I really want is a parliamentary system so we can build coalition govts with those guys (bc I think they do serve a purpose as a counterweight to leftist idealism) but alleviate pressure to have a totally milquetoast ineffective platform

I mean I don’t fully agree with the reasoning but that’s okay, I still agree that a parliamentary system would be better since it allows for unique party focus. Like greens can take over energy, broad left takes over labour, etc etc. and they’re incentivised to make their respective fields more effective / do better compared to just one party which is like a forced coalition

I fear so unfortunately. Even during this golden opportunity, their polling numbers and approval ratings are in the shits still because they just don’t know how to rally or have a real policy platform that isn’t just “anti-trump” They need a total rhetoric and strategy overhaul to come back strong and appeal to young voters who are only getting more plentiful and less franchised by the DNC
