They both attacked the media constantly to discredit criticism, encouraged violence or looked the other way when their supporters acted out, and tried to undermine democratic institutions when things didn’t go their way (think Trump’s 2020 election denial vs. Hitler using the Reichstag fire to consolidate power).
They also relied heavily on emotion-driven rallies, exaggerated threats, and creating an “us vs. them” mentality to build loyalty. Is it on the same scale as the holocaust? Not yet, but there’s another three and a half years and a lot of enemies for their administration to go after
Hitler used the enabling act to consolidate power and then later passed the Nuremberg Laws. The nazis then forced Jews (their enemies) into work camps, that were then converted into death camps meant to wipe them off the face of the planet. Trump won an election, called for the deportation of Illegal migrants, but publicly supported legal migration, he also publicly supported gay marriage. And he never called for the culling of illegal immigrants only their removal from the country.
Every president since Cleveland has wanted to deport illegal immigrants and defend our border because it’s a breeding ground for crime. Hillary Clinton called for the deportation of illegals, and also called half of the country “deplorables” is she Hitler like? Of course not. Biden considered Trump supporters “trash” and extremists, is he Hitler esq? I don’t think so, just because Trump used Make America Great Again (similar to make Germany great again) doesn’t make him Trump like either
Because Trump obviously got that from Reagans “lets make America great again” campaign slogan in the 80’s he also calls the media “fake news” because thats the term they had come up with themselves, but regardless he lets the media into the oval office nearly everyday to criticize him to his face (even if he doesn’t like them) Psychologically Trump allows for jokes to be made at his expense and also has a sense of humor, which historically dictators IE Hitler did not do/ did not have.
Brother he dehumanizes illegal immigrants, pretty damn similar to the shit hitler was doing. He repeatedly used language like calling immigrants “animals” and claiming they were “infesting” the country. He also implemented harsh policies like family separation, where even infants were taken from their parents, and pushed for mass deportation raids. Those lines are just gonna get blurrier and blurrier (hint hint, not the first time this has happened in history (2nd hint, it’s Hitler!))
but no Trump is an amazing human being with absolutely no ill will to illegal immigrants. Did I mention he loves the gays?! In the words of the orange man, “Nobody loves the gays more than I do, okay? I’ve said it many times — I’ve had so many gay friends, some of the best people. Tremendous people. During my campaign, I held the LGBTQ flag — remember that? Beautiful moment. The media won’t show it, but it happened.”
family separation started in the Obama administration? Mainly because people are smuggled across the border and there’s no way to confirm whether or not they are related, so it makes sense to separate them from possible traffickers. Hitler was very direct in his goal to kill the Jews, degrading comments about specific illegal immigrants that rape and/or murder Americans is not that. Also Idk the point you’re trying to make but Trump led a global campaign to decriminalize gay marriage in his 1st
